decorah’s eagles

I guess I am little behind on the times, because I had no idea there was a video of a nest of eagles about 30 miles away from my house until last night.

The Raptor Resource Project has observed the nest of eagles for about 5 years, streaming on the internet for the last couple.    Eighty feet up in the air, and about 6 feet across the nest is impressive, and with an egg hatching any day now it is pretty fascinating to watch

Check out the live streaming video here.

The eaglet will stay in the nest until around September when they will leave the nest and strike out on their own.  The summer should be full of baby antics and flying lessons.

The egg laying video’s (along with others) have been posting to YouTube
